Now that we don’t have a car our mode of transportation to get everything done are our folding bicycles! It actually feels great as you are doing some exercise and not throwing more CO2 in the atmosphere.
The boat is currently in the Baska Voda marina, which is a quite charming little town, but it doesn’t have a telecom kiosk, a bank or a boat supply shop. So today I had to do my first commuting to the “big city” of Makarska. Guess what? No traffic jam encountered on the way.
The trip was also quite educational since after three weeks in Croatia I learnt my second Croatian words with no formal education. How clever am I?! Well, my grandmother use to tell me that I am super smart… and even handsome. Can you believe it? Family… well getting back to the matter, I learnt the word “Vatrogasci” which means “Firefighters”. Guess how?
Well in fact I also learnt two more words… “Plaza” which means “beach” and finally
and most important “pse” which means “dog”. Do you think that Feijão will be happy when he finds out that here in Croatia they have beaches specifically for him? His ego is going to go off the charts. And the beach is no shady place. We are talking about some prime Real Estate. This is probably the nicest beach I saw since I got here. I just love this country.
Now that I think about it, I am wondering if they will let Sarah and I on the beach, we will just have to tell them we are on Feijao’s guest list.
